Lace fronts are called various names, including lace wigs, front lace wigs, and lace frontal wigs. Designed to mimic a natural hairline, the lace at the front of these wigs provides added realism to your style and looks most natural when it blends with your skin tone. Keep in mind that this feature means that there is only lace at the front. So, you will only get the blending effect at your forehead and 2” - 3” behind the hairline. 

Full lace wigs have a full base made of lace, meaning you can wear the wig in any style you like which is the main reason many people decide to go for a full lace. The lace makes the wig light on the head compared to other wig bases.

As you probably already know, human hair wigs are made of real, natural, harvested human hair. This means that they look, move and act just like your own hair. So, they look and feel very natural. Because they are made of natural human hair, these wigs are easier to style.

Synthetic Lace Front wigs utilize monofilament fiber “hair” which maintains waves or curls without re-styling. However, unless using a “heat friendly” synthetic wig, straighteners and curling irons will damage synthetic wigs.

synthetic hair is heat styleable to change the curl pattern. Keep in mind, even the heat friendly fiber can be difficult to style as synthetic fiber is more resistant to change. Synthetic hair is also less durable than human hair. With proper care you can expect synthetic hair wigs and hairpieces to last about 4-6 months – heat friendly synthetic hair 2- 3 months. 

A human hair blend wig is a mix of both human and synthetic hair. The ratio of fibres vary between manufacturers. Some wigs may have a 50/50 blend while others may have a 70/30 ratio.
